[Class 29] The rotary can 9 cooled by a brine bath 2 is carried on a ring 8 secured to a belt pulley 6 running on roller bearings 3, 4 and driven by belts 17 actuated by a motor 15. The bearings 3, 4 are adjustable axially by screws 5. A fixed scraper 12 having arms 12a is mounted on Z-shaped brackets 10. The can is supported by a boss 14 and the scraper 12 by a boss 13a.
