Abstract

632,444. Hair-curling appliances. PALMER, C. M. Sept. 1, 1947, No. 24118. [Class 131] An eyelash curler comprises a fixed jaw J and a coacting movable jaw MJ having complementary members RM and PS adjustably coupled together to clamp a removable rubber pad R. The fixed jaw is secured to sides 21 of a frame F which guide the. movable jaw when it is motivated by the handle L. The members RM and PS have depending, downwardly tapering aprons 37 and 14, mounted on a common pivot 30 on the handle L and are approximated or separated by manipulation of the wheel 45 the outward movement of which, on the screw-threaded stud 44, is stopped by a flange 46. In a modification the members may be completely separated from each other for removal of the pad for cleaning.
