Abstract

969,328. Ironing presses. BAKER PERKINS JAXONS Ltd. Jan. 10, 1961 [Oct. 10, 1959], No. 34420/59. Heading D1A. Garments are pressed on a double-sided buck 1 by means of two heads 3, and at least one resilient pad 5 which is moved outwardly to the position shown after the heads have been closed. The heads 3 have portions 4 diverging from the peripheral portion 2 of the buck, these portions 4 being at the sides or at one end of the buck. The machine enables garments to be pressed in a single operation. The pad 5 may comprise a flexible inflatable bag.
