[Class 106 (i)] A device for showing the decimal equivalents of English money comprises an upper disc 1 having apertures 2, 3, 4, 5 and situated above a relatively-rotatable disc 6. The apertures in the left-hand side of the upper disc are at different radial distances from the centre from those in the right-hand side. Adjacent the left-hand apertures on the upper disc are marked even shillings 11 and corresponding decimals 11a of ú1. Against the right-hand apertures are odd shillings 12 and the first figures 12a of the corresponding decimals. Rings of figures 14, 16 on the lower disc show pence and corresponding decimals and are arranged to be read in conjunction with the even shillings figures 11, 11a on the upper disc. The lower disc also has two other rings of figures showing pence 15 and corresponding decimal equivalents 13 adjusted to include the." .05 " required to complete the equivalents 12a of the odd shillings 12. When' the lower disc is adjusted to set a pence figure, e.g. " 5d.," adjacent an odd shillings figure, e.g. " 9/-," the figures 12a on the upper discs and 13 on the lower read straight across give the decimal equivalent of 9s. 5d., i.e., .470833. The lower disc may be moved by a knob or may be larger than the upper disc or both discs may have projecting operating tabs.
