Abstract

629,665. Centrifugal moulding-machines. FEJMERT, E. V. Nov. 22, 1946, No. 34657. [Class 87 (ii)] A mould 6 mounted in a carriage 23, having rollers 24, is positioned for centrifugal moulding by running it into a holder consisting of rails 25 connecting an end plate 7 and a ring 5. The plate 7 which closes one end of the mould is rotatable about a bearing 9. The other end of the mould has a removable closure 10 comprising a fixed part 12 and a part 11 rotatable about a bearing 16. The part 11 has seats 15 to hold the mould centrally and has claws 13, Fig. III, which engage in seats 14 on the ring 5 to position the holder centrally. The part 12 is hinged at 20 to the frame of the machine and has a locking device 21. Material is fed to the mould from a hopper 1 through a tube 2 which is supported at one end in the part 12. Springs 27 are provided between the plate 7 and the frame of the machine to accommodate variations in the size of the moulds.
