Abstract
629,477. Injectors for raising liquids. VENTURA, E. Jan. 27,1947, No. 2492. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1944. [Class 71] An injector device for raising liquids containing matter in suspension comprises a flat suction chamber 1 of substantially cylindrical form the outer wall of which is openec by a number oi vanes passing an equal number of spiral inlet conduits 2 so that the liquid in which the chamber is immersed may be drawn into the inside thereof with a swirling motion, the chamber being closed at the top by a co-axial funnel shaped member 3 connected to a delivery pipe 4 which opens into the interior of a box 5, Fig. 6, having a deflecting wall 5<SP>1</SP> for deflecting the liquid raised, and an injector 10 provided in the centre of the chamber, projecting into the funnel shaped member and supplied with gaseous fluid under pressure, the deflecting-wall 5<SP>1</SP> serving also to separate the gaseous fluid front the liquid. The gaseous fluid is supplied through a pipe 9 to the injector which comprises a central rod 11, having an axial bore and a number of multiple threads formed on the outside thereof, disposed in a casing to adapt it to provid a number of helicoidal passages for the gaseous fluid.
