[Class 87 (ii)] A number of segmental mould carriers 14 (as shown, six) are removably fitted between spokes 12 extending between the rim 8 and the hub 11 of a rotatable cylindrical frame. Each mould carrier comprises a base 20, two sides 19 hinged at 21 to the base, and two ends 18. Each carrier accommodates five moulds, and each mould moulds four tiles. Each mould includes a plate 32 which forms the upper face of the tile and a plate 33 which forms the lower face, these plates being spaced apart by blocks 51 removably secured to the base 20. The eight inner plates (Fig. 3) are in four pairs, each pair comprising a plate 32 secured as by welding to a plate 33. Each plate 33 has two raised parts 37, 38 joined by a channel 39 through which passes a pin 40 which forms a hole for receiving a tie-wire for attaching the tile to a roof frame. The pins 4C are attached to a bar 41 which slides in guides 42 secured to the plate 33. The pins are inserted into the channel 39 and removed therefrom b) manual operation of levers 45 fulcrummed on the brackets. The inner ends of the moulds are pressed together by cams 60 on a ratchet-restrained shaft 58. Plates 67 and spacing strips 47 prevent entry of concrete into the spaces between the moulds. The mould carrier is held together by nuts and bolts 24, 27 and straps 26. Rollers 29 on the carriers run on rails 13, 31 on the inside of the frame 8.
