Abstract

A moulding table has longitudinals (4) supported on pillars (5) through rubber pads (6) to permit vibratory compaction, and carrying a large number of trough shaped moulds (8) into which the wet mix is poured. Between the abutting edges of these troughs is inserted a set of vertical plates (13) supporting on their upper edges shaping members (12, 23, 29, 25, 26) made from sheet metal, which thus form the inverted T shapes of the beams in conjunction with the troughs (8). The lower part (13) of each plate has a hole through it, and on assembly a spacer is placed between each pair of plates, and an inflatable tube passed through the set. When inflated, this tube holds the arrangement together under tension, ready for pouring.
