628,444. Inks. ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORPORATION. Oct. 7, 1947, No. 26925. Convention date, Feb. 5. [Class 146 (iii)] [Also in Group XVI] An image-forming composition or ink for forming images upon planographic printing plates, such as those with a parchment or like cellulose base, is formed of a solution of an image-forming substance such as an organic dye, and a fatty acid component which is present in a percentage by weight of between two and four. The composition may be applied as a coating of an ink-ribbon. Example I. Negrosine base black dye 27 parts by weight : tricresyl phosphate 50 parts : diluent diethylene glycol mono-laurate 20 parts : stearic acid 3 parts. When used to form a typewriter ribbon the base of the ribbon is a cellulosic material or paper such as a paper made from rope stock known as " Superflex," or the paper " Special Aldex C " (Aldine Paper Company).
