628,057. Phase modulation. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. May 20, 1947, No. 13533. Convention date, May 23, 1946. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v)] The output from a constant-frequency oscillator is phase-modulated by passage through a phase-displacing network, the condensers of which form the capacities of a multiple condenser microphone. The frequency characteristic of the latter may be such as to produce frequency modulation and also introduce a " pre-emphasis " of higher frequencies. The output of the network may be fed to a frequency multiplier to increase the phase or frequency shift.
