[Class 79 (v)i] A steering mechanism for a mechanically propelled three-wheeled vehicle adapted to be controlled by a pedestrian comprises a leading or trailing undriven wheel 1 mounted within the forked end 2 of a vertical shaft 3, which is mounted within a sleeve 4 rigidly secured to the framework 5 of the vehicle and has a bevel wheel 6 meshing with a pinion 7 on a horizontal shaft 8 carrying a vertical steering wheel 9, the shaft 8 extending axially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and beyond the wheel 1.
