Abstract

The diethylamine salt of 2 : 4-dichlorophenoxy-acetic acid is prepared by dissolving the acid in aqueous diethylamine. Specification 607,113 is referred to.ALSO:A weed killing preparation consists of an aqueous solution of the diethylamine salt of 2 : 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and an anionic wetting agent, e.g., in the form of its diethylamine salt. In examples, weed killing preparations comprise aqueous solutions of the diethylamine salt of 2 : 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and “Teepol-X” (Registered Trade Mark) or the diethylamine salt of a sulphated oleic mono-ester such as “Lankropol diethylamine finished.” Specification 607,113, [Group IV(b)], is referred to.
