[Class 39(ii)] [Also in Group XL(a)] In a lamp of the kind provided with a window 18 sealed with wax over an aperture in the envelope the wall of the envelope near the aperture is formed double to provide a channel 14 for cooling fluid. The window may be of quartz, fluorite, mica, or sapphire, all these materials being difficult to fix to glass.
