Abstract

A thermoplastic adhesive for uniting a tear-off tape to a sheet of wrapping material (see Group XVII) comprises a mixture of rubber hydrochloride and amorphous wax. The proportions may be as follows: 45 - 30 parts of rubber hydrochloride and 55 - 70 parts of wax. The two ingredients are dissolved in benzene with heating and stirring to produce a solution of 10 per cent solids content. The tape and wrapper are both of rubber hydrochloride film.
