[Class 87 (ii) [Also in Groups VII and XIV] Articles for furnishing or personal wear, of thermoplastic material, are formed of alternating parts of different colours or properties and are produced in apparatus comprising an annular chamber 5 fed by an extrusion press and discharging through a ring of cylindrical chambers 6 producing blocks which are connected by strips of different material formed in spaces 9 supplied by a central bore 7 and radial conduits 8 from another extrusion press. The blocks and strips thus formed produce a tube which as it issues from the die is cut by a rotating cutter 16 to form a helix which is drawn into rectilinear form by its own weight or otherwise.
