Abstract

Fish meal is made from fish or fish offal or a mixture of fish and fish offal by grinding the fish material, mixing the ground product with fish material which has already been dried, preferably one part of undried to 1-5 parts of dried, and drying the mixture, the process being preferably carried out in two or more stages so that the product becomes drier gradually. Fat may be removed from the already dried material, e.g. by pressing, before adding it to the undried material.ALSO:Fish meal is made from fish or fish offal or a mixture of fish and fish offal by grinding the fish material, mixing the ground product with fish material which has already been dried, preferably one part of undried to 1-5 parts of dried material, and drying the mixture, the process being preferably carried out in two or more stages so that the product becomes drier gradually.
