[Class 40 (v)] Heterodyne interference due to signals arriving over different transmission paths in F.M. reception is prevented by using spaced antennµ 1, 6, a phase adjuster 5 between one of the antennµ and the receiver and a beat indicator 10 connected ahead of the amplitude limiter stage. The phase adjuster 5 is adjusted so that the signal reaching the antennµ over the desired transmission path are applied in phase to the receiver, the undesired signals then balancing out partially due to phase difference, this being indicated by minimum amplitude variations on the indicator. The antennµ may be of rhombic type and in series or parallel. Different communication channels may thus be achieved.
