Abstract

620,560. Roller weighting arrangements. DOBSON, & BARLOW, Ltd., and WALSH, F. Jan. 23, 1947, No. 2084. [Class 120 (ii)] A weighting saddle for textile machinery rollers has a main member 3, which is preferably channelshaped, extending from the second to the third top rollers, a second member 8, for weighting the front top roller, attached by a pivot 7 to the main member 3, a third member 10, for weighting the fourth top roller, slidably attached to the pivot 7 and a fourth member 14 pivoted at 13 to the second member 8 and resting on a projection 15 on the third member 10; the fourth member 8 has projections on its sides from which a weight hook 17 is hung. The top of the saddle is, preferably, curved from front to back and from side to side to reduce the tendency for dust and fluff to settle on it. The weight hook 17 may be detachable.
