620,322. Packing shirts. MANNERVIK, C. O. L. Oct. 31, 1946, No. 32325 and 32326. Convention dates, Dec. 6, 1945, and March 20, 1946. [Class 94(i)] [Also in Group XVIII] A shirt holder comprises a frame member 4b, of cardboard or like material with a foldable flap member 5c which retains the tail of the shirt in position and which is transversely connected to the upper portion of the frame at some distance from the top edge, the collar or neckband of the shirt being supported by a projection 6. The flap 5c may be a cutout or a separate stuck-on piece. It may have either side or rear extensions to fold over the front of the shirt, or a tongue or tongues 26 of aluminium or rubber, or a ring of rubber. The flap 5c may have cut-out sleeve holders 21, 22. The shirt is positioned back downwards on the holder with the projection 6 in the back of the neckband or collar and first the sides and then the tail are folded over the edges under the flap 5c, the cuffs being arranged on the bosom of the shirt. The flap is held in place by folding the tongues 26 over the front into the cuffs. When side or rear extensions are used instead of tongues they are folded over the front and held in place by a gummed strip. When sleeve holders 21, 22 are used the right hand sleeve is folded under and over the left hand holder and then the left hand sleeve is put under and over the right hand holder.
