619,897. Mattress frames. SALVADOR, A. B. Sept. 12, 1946, No. 27401. Convention date, May 8. [Class 52 (iv)] The side bars A of a tubular metal mattress frame are strengthened by longitudinal ribs, and are preferably of the cardiate section shown in Fig. 1, while the end bars B are of pear-shaped cross section. The parts may be welded together or the side bars may be detachably mounted in sockets on the end bars. The holes D for the meshwork pass through flattened inner edges on the end bars which also have end plugs C to prevent entry of dust or insects.
