Mattresses.-Tubular end bars 1 of a metallic mattress frame are provided with projecting tongues 4, 4<1> which pass through slots 6 in the side bars 5 and are riveted over. At its inner face each end bar is slit longitudinally to accommodate the fabric of the mattress surface and the ends of the slit edges are housed in recesses 71 in the side bars.
