[Class 38 (i)] The socket member of a rectangular-pin plug- and-socket device has a cover-plate with rectangular openings 1, 3 for earth and live pins, the former having curvilinear countersinking 2 and the latter having rectangular countersinking 4. The countersinking 2 may be spherical or of truncated conical form having an apical angle of 120 degrees. Specification 612,862 is referred to.
