Abstract

618,531. Powder distributers. HOLLAND, C. E. July 18, 1946, No. 21570. [Class 18] A condiment dispenser having compartments 2, 3 with separate outlets, e.g. for pepper and salt, has guard plates 10, 11 in the salt compartment to prevent accidental discharge of the salt when the container is shaken to obtain a discharge of pepper. The guard plate 11 also functions to direct salt from the upper to the lower end of the container without accidental spillage through the aperture 9. The container may be moulded in two halves, e.g. of thermoplastic material, adhesively or otherwise joined together at their edges. According to the Provisional Specification, the dispenser may have filling openings in the base or it may have a removable lid with a guard plate portion co-operating with a guard plate portion carried by the receptacle.
