Abstract
642,536. Boxes. ROBIN, M. H. Dec. 18, 1946, No. 37214. [Class 18] A box with a roll-type lid comprises complementary moulded elements A, B, C, which, when assembled, provide opposed longitudinal channels forming the tracks for the lid. The upper run of each channel is formed by the underside of the top a<1> of the outer shell A, the top of the side wall bl of the lining B, and the inner face of a locating shoulder F. The lower run of each channel is bounded by the bottom of the lining B, a ledge V of the base member C, and the inner face of a lip R on that member. The semi-circular connecting part of each channel is bounded by the edge of a web Q, ledges V and W, and surfaces G, T. The lid X is preferably constructed as in Specification 593,961. Compartments N and O of the lining B are closed by a lid Y. This lid can be rocked upon a partition L, by pressure' on that part of the lid above compartment O (which may be left empty) to expose the contents of compartment N. A trough Z may be formed in lid Y.
