Abstract
616,514. Oven doors. FEDERATED FOUNDRIES, Ltd., and MACMILLAN, H. Sept. 16, 1946, No. 27680. [Class 126] A cooking range with a vitreous enamelled cast iron front is provided with an oven door hinged to a cast iron frame carrying the oven and having a machine ground bearing face to seat on the machine ground bearing face of the cast iron frame which is secured to a further cast iron frame attached to the inner surface of the range front. The oven opening is closed by a door g, hinged to a door frame n, which has a machine ground bearing face to seat against a machine ground bearing face p<1> on the door frame n. The door frame n carries the oven and is fitted to a second door frame k secured in the range front a by screws k<1>, packing being provided between the cast iron door frames k, n. The ashpit door j is hinged to a cast iron frame f within the door opening and has a machine ground bearing face j<2> to seat on a machine ground bearing face il of the cast iron frame f. The door frame f is secured to the door opening by screws h passing through lugs g into bosses e on the rear surface of the range front a.
