Abstract

615,268. Gutter brackets. RICHARDS, E. July 5, 1946, No. 20175. [Class 52 (v)] In a gutter bracket having a cradle member 1 on which the gutter rests and an angular support 4 for the cradle member the cradle and the support are welded together at their contacting faces thus leaving a smooth seating for the gutter. As shown the cradle 1, bent to the semi-circular curvature of the gutter 2 and provided with an inturned flange 3 to embrace the upper inner edge of the gutter is welded at 11 to the arm 5 of the support 4 and to a fixing plate 8, and is also welded at 13 to the extreme outer end of the link 6 of the angular support 4 which is extended beyond the lowest part of the cradle 2 and curved upwardly at 19. In a modification to accommodate a gutter with a beaded edge the cradle is bent to form a recess for the reception of the bead and the weld between the cradle, fastening plate and angular support is effected to the rear of the recess.
