Abstract

614,790. Coat hangers. CARTER, W. C., and GENERAL PLASTICS, Ltd. July 30, 1946, No. 22634. [Class 52 (v)] In a coat-hanger the yoke and rail are bent up from rod or tubular material its free ends being fitted into and secured within the mouth of an inverted cup-shaped member forming a neck support for the garment and being provided with a hook. The ends 4 of the yoke are fitted within the neck portion 5 and are cemented to the ends 6. Additionally the ends 4 may be slotted to receive the oblique ends 11 of a wedging member 10 which may be cemented to the part 7 and is slotted at 13 to receive the end of the suspension hook 9 which is held in position by a washer 12 and split pin 12'. The shoulder pieces and rail may have perforations 16 to allow the diffusion of disinfectant material introduced through a larger aperture with a movable cover provided in the rail.
