Abstract
614,180. Massage devices. NAVE, W. J. June 27, 1946. No. 19184. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Groups XVII and XXIII] A massaging brush, for gums or the like, of the type having the bristles formed of rubber or rubber-like material with ducts therethrough communicating with a duct in the handle to which duct is coupled the end of a collapsable tube of paste or the like, is characterised in that the handle forms a housing for the tube and has slots along opposite sides enabling the tube to be collapsed to eject paste therefrom to the bristles. As shown, a brush head comprises a rubber pad 8 on which are mounted rubber bristles 7 having ducts 9 therethrough ; the pad covers a longtitudinal opening 6 at one end of a duct 5 in the brush stem 2. The other end of the duct is enlarged at the inner end of the housing 3 and is screw-threaded or fitted with a bush 10 whereby the nozzle 12 of a collapsable tube 11 may be secured. Slots 4 in the housing enable the tube to be collapsed or rolled up.
