613,359. Collapsable tables. MYERS, B., and JOHNSON S. P. June 21, 1946. No. 18756. [Class 52 (iii)] The legs 12 of a table are pivoted to the table frame 11 at 15 and carry links 16 pivoted to the legs 12 at 17, the other ends of the links 16 carrying studs 18 which ride in a slot in a plate 19 fixed to the table frame. The slot comprises a horizontal portion 20 in which the stud 18 rides when the table is collapsed and a depending arcuate portion 21 in which the s ud 18 rides when the leg 12 is erected. The portion 21 is an arc struck about the pivot 17 as centre wi'h the leg 12 erected. A resilient buffer 22, e.g. an abutment of polyvinyl chloride or a spring, is mounted under the table top 10 and takes up any looseness of the leg when erected.
