[Classes 69 (iii) and 135] In a crop sprayer in which liquid fed at low pressure is diffused by high pressure air from a horizontal distributer 3 extending on both sides of a vehicle and fitted with downwardly extending nozzle tubes 4, a ball or other gravityactuated valve 9 is located in the liquid supply pipes 17 feeding each side of the vehicle, so that, when the distributer 3 is tilted to one side due to the slope of the ground, the liquid supply to the lower nozzles is throttled to permit an adequate flow to the raised nozzles. The valves comprise a body 10, Fig. 2, with inlet and outlet nipples 11, 12, one of which is provided with a grooved or slotted valve seat 13 for the ball 14, the interior sloping away from this seat to permit unrestricted liquid flow in a horizontal position. The piping 17 feeds an intermediate branch 16 and side branches 18 and the distributer 3 folds alongside the vehicle about hinges 15.
