612,030. Children's vehicles. WALWYN, J. F. May 15, 1946, No. 14731. [Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XV] A vehicle fur children comprises a platform a broader at the rear than at the front and preferably semicircular in shape, two rear wheels j mounted upon an axle k extending under the rear part of the vehicle, a centrally disposed front wheel e mounted on a castor device f, g which is adapted to pivot freely, and a surround b fitted to the forward and side edges of the platform and made higher at the front and falling away to the rear so that the whole has a shape like a chariot. The axle k is pivotally attached at l to the platform a, and springs m are placed between the platform and the ends of the axle so that the body of the vehicle can be tilted for steering. Alternatively, a crosspiece may be attached to the stem g of the castor device and a chain or cord attached thereto for steering. A hand rail c or grips n may be secured to the surround. The springs m may be dispensed with and the rear wheels mounted on an axle directly secured to the platform. Pulling gear such as shafts or harness may be attached to the vehicle.
