608,811. Automatic control systems. TEDDINGTON CONTROLS, Ltd., and BUSH, E. J. March 1, 1946, No. 6428. [Class 38 (iv)] Temperature.-In a thermostatic control system of the type described in Specification 569,955 for controlling an engine cooling system, in which a thermally operated switch selects the forward or reverse field 7a or 7b of an electric motor or electrically operated fluid pressure jack through relays 5 and 6, a follow-up cam on the control element opening the thermal switch, but the field being maintained energized by the relay 5 or 6 which remains locked up until its holding circuit is broken by a snap-over switch 8 actuated by a member on the shaft of the follow-up cam, simultaneous holding of both relays is prevented by including in the holding circuit of each relay a back contact 5a or 6a of the other relay circuit.
