Abstract

608,079. Glazing. AYGEE, Ltd.. OLIVER, J. A., and GEE, G. M. Feb. 14, 1946, No. 4721. [Class 20(iii)] A rigid clamping member 16, preferably formed of extruded aluminium alloy, is used to hold the glass sheet 8 on the lateral flange 10 of the glazing bar 7 which is also preferably formed of extruded aluminium alloy. A bent over portion 18 of the clamping member is engaged in a pocket 13 formed in the web of the glazing bar and it may be prevented from complete withdrawal therefrom by a clip 22 slid over the top of the web or by taper pins passed through holes in the web, the upper edges of which lie above, and the lower edges within, the pocket 13.
