Abstract

607,814. Hand trucks. HAMILTON, I. Feb. 12, 1946, No. 4348. [Class 108 (i)] A hand truck for moving heavy loads comprises a platform 1 with depending lugs 2, 21 bored to receive the bearings of an axle 4 on which is mounted two barrel-shaped wheels or rollers 5. Oppositely disposed arms 9 project from the lugs 2<SP>1</SP>, each carrying a pair of anti-tilting rollers 8. The axle 4 is provided with hooks 6 to which the load is fastened by chains or ropes. The shape of the rollers permits the truck to be turned in a confined space.
