Abstract

607,612. Band clips. O'SHEI, W. E. Oct. 24, 1945, No. 28009. [Class 44] A band clip of the type having ears or a housing to support the tightening mechanism is shown in Fig. 1. The housing member 12 has a transverse portion 16, which lies against one side of the band and has at each end a projecting lug 17 passing through an aperture in the band and bent to engage the opposite side, depressions 19 being provided to position the lugs in the plane of the band. The lugs may be formed initially perpendicular to the band and bent after passing through the apertures. Alternatively, one lug is perpendicular, the other being formed with a step. The lugs are retained in position by the overlying end of the band if they are on the outside or by the article being gripped if on the inside. Specification 607,595 is referred to.
