607,362. Mixing-apparatus. BANKS, J. H. Jan. 31, 1946, No. 3152. [Class 86] Apparatus for mixing, blending, and combining boiled and raw sizing, weighting, filling and starching materials comprises a main treatment tank A in which a mixture of water and treating material is heated by a steam coil C, a pump K for circulating liquor from the tank A through a filter and screening chamber I and a cooler L back to the tank A, and a mixing tank P in which the raw materials and water are mixed and from which a proportion of liquid is fed through a pipe U to the suction side of the pump K to be delivered into the flow of liquid circulating to and from the tank A. The treated materials therein pass through the filter and screening chamber I before they are withdrawn from the apparatus by the pump K through the outlet M'. Liquid in the mixing tank P is circulated by upwardly driving propellers T and propellers F in the tank A drive the liquid therein downwardly.
