Abstract

606,883. Carbon-paper packages. RAMSDEN, F., and COLUMBIA RIBBON & CARBON MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Nov. 10, 1944, No. 22232. [Class 100(iv)] A package of carbon-paper sheets consists of a tray 1 having a base of cardboard or other suitably stiff sheet-material, walls 2 of rigid material e.g. wooden battens of a height substantially equal to the thickness of the contents, and a hinged closure member 3 of cardboard or other suitably stiff material, the pad 4 of carbon sheets being secured to the base of the tray. The carbon sheets are detachably secured together at one edge as described in Specification 585,978, and have a backing sheet 5 secured to the tray base, for example, by glueing, along the same edge. A flimsy cover sheet 6 is provided, and a strip 8 extending beneath the pad and secured to the tray facilitates the lifting of the free edge of the pad.
