[Classes 79 (iv) and 79 (v)] A vehicle such as an agricultural tractor is provided with interchangeable steerable front wheel assemblies, each comprising a pivoted steering lever which is detachably connected to the drag link and which is connected through a linkage to the steering arm or arms in such a manner that angular movement of the steering lever causes the front wheel or wheels to turn in the same direction as but through a greater angle than the steering lever. With such an arrangement a tractor may be used with either a single front-steering wheel or a two-wheeled swinging front axle, the alternative front wheel arrangements each being mounted on a transverse yoke which can be bolted to the vehicle frame. The twowheeled swinging front axle 1, Figs. 1 and 3, comprises steering arms 6, track rods 4, 5, a bifurcated steering lever 2 pivoted at 3 and whose other arm 7 is detachably connected at 8 to the normal drag link 9. The axle swings about a trunnion pin 18 carried by a bracket 16 detachably secured to the vehicle by bolts 17. By disconnecting ball-joint 8 and removing the trunnion bracket 16 and front yoke 12, the single wheel assembly, Fig. 6, carried by yoke 26, may be bolted in position. The single wheel is steered by steering arm 28, Fig. 5, link 29 and steering lever 32 pivoted at 31 and detachably connected at 33 to the drag link 9. In both cases the layout is such that angular movements of the steering lever 7 or 32 produce movements of the front road wheel(s) of a similar direction, but greater amplitude.
