Abstract
605.817. Compound sheet materials. SMITH, A. P. Jan. 5, 1946, No. 473. [Class 140] [Also in Groups XV and XXIII] Toys and miniature articles are made up of a light-weight rigid core or foundation of a material such as wood or plywood which can be shaped by cutting or grinding, and a body of solid cork, laminated cork or cork composition secured to the core or foundation and shaped to the desired final shape by cutting, grinding, sandpapering, or like operation. The core may consist of alternate plies of wood and cork. Figs. 1 and 2 show a toy animal made up of plywood and cork while Figs. 4 and 5 show another such toy animal.
