Abstract

<PICT:0605467/III/1> Laboratory apparatus for use in chemical analysis or synthesis consists of a closed vessel having a non-interrupted base 2 adapted to be heated, a graduated neck 4 having a cock 5 fitted therein and centrally disposed opposite to said base and of a length substantially less than the axial length of the body of the vessel, and having at least one orifice in its side wall capable of being sealed hermetically, preferably by a ground-glass stopper 13 or 14. Stopper 14 forms one piece with the tube 9 and one-way cock 10. In another construction (Fig. 1, not shown), the base is flat and the neck 4 has a two-way cock.
