Abstract

604,021. Vermin traps. BROOK, E. J. L., and WOOD. L. Nov. 21, 1945, No. 31284. [Class 5(i)] The invention relates to spring-jaw traps and consists in pivoting the top member or inturned flanges on the base member. The top member 2, provided with teeth 17, is pivoted on the base member 1 at its contacts with the inturned flanges 12 and a spring is attached to the two members by the hooks 6. The bait-platform is pivoted by lugs 20 in piercings 14 in the bottom member. The trap is held in the set position by engagement of the edges of the lugs 20 with the edges 21 of the top member 2. Downward movement of the bait-platform disengages the two edges and the trap is sprung.
