Abstract
600,986. Switchboards. RILEY, A., and YORKSHIRE SWITCHGEAR & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Oct. 8, 1945, No. 26199. [Class 38 (v)] Passageways E formed between the outer partitions F of a fixed switch mechanism D and the walls of a switch-box A, are adapted to accommodate supplementary-cables H which byepass the switch-mechanism and are taken, through openings in the top or bottom of the box, direct to another switch-box mounted above or below the box A, the normal outgoing cables passing through an outlet in the rear of the box. The box A may have supplementary inlet and outlet openings in line with the passageways E, and the cables H may be retained by lugs O on the box. The boxes may form part of a bus-bar-system in which bus-bar boxes are placed in line, with switchboxes to branch circuits arranged above and below each bus-bar box, Fig. 3 (not shown).
