[Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Sheet metal handles for milk cans, or bins, &c. are made from blanks such as that illustrated, by pressing the grip-portions b surrounding the openings b<SP>1</SP>, into channel form and folding the blank about a central line to bring the halves together and uniting by soldering, brazing, or by gas, electric or machine welding. In a modification, the whole central part of the blank is taken out so that a U-shaped. handle is formed.
