Abstract

492,163. Shaping containers. BERAN, A., and GOLLMANN, G. Feb. 15, 1937, No. 4553. [Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Paper or like fibrous bottles or containers for oil &c. are produced by compressing between a plunger 50, Fig. 3, and a heated mould 51 preformed laminated tubulai bodies A which are carried by the plunger and are initially of larger diameter than the mould. At the conclusion of the pressing operation, Fig. 4, the lower end of the body is formed into an inward curl or bead by the co-operation of the groove 56 with the part 58 of the plunger.
