Abstract

599,882. Tents &c. SMITH & CO. (LONDON, E.), Ltd., J., and SMITH, Sir J. J. Sept. 25, 1945, No. 24791. [Class 20(i)] ,Relates to collapsable portable huts or tents having framework composed of arches and canvas coverings fitting either over or inside the arches, and provides a method of .attaching the coverings to the frameworks. The covering 4 is tied by cords 5 to rings 2, which are slidably mounted on each vertical portion 1 of an arch and have two eyes 3 diametrically opposite, the cord being passed through the eyes before its ends are tied. The cord 5 is secured to the covering 4 by a patch 6. Alternatively the ring may have only one eye, or an annular groove on its outside for the cord 5, or both an annular groove and an eye or eyes.
