Abstract

<PICT:0598860/IV/1> An apparatus for use in the liquid treatment of filamentary packages in submerged condition, comprises a vessel 2 for the liquid, one or more hollow arms 3 the outer fluted surface of which supports a plurality of packages 5 internally, and through which the liquor may flow from the inner to the outer surface of the packages, or vice versa, the arms being constructed and swingably mounted on a horizontal axis 15 for submerging the supported packages in the liquid or alternatively swinging the supported packages clear of the liquid.
