Abstract
598,550. Casting concrete walls in situ. ROBERTS, A. L., and JONES, W. C. Dec. 14, 1944, No. 25108. [Classes 20(ii) and 20(iv)] Permanent shuttering comprises the combination of a main form 10 consisting of sheets 11 connected by wooden members 12, and an auxiliary form, which may be a channel form 13 consisting of three sheets 14, 15, joined at their contacting edges by wooden blocks 20, and strip iron connectors 17 which engage with the main. form to hold the auxiliary form in position. The auxiliary form may be a quoin end form 21 consisting of four sheets 22, joined by wooden blocks 23, and strip iron connectors 24. Window and door openings are provided by using end forms each consisting of a sheet 26 provided with strips of wood 27 to which are fixed strip iron connectors 28 which engage with the members 12 of the wall form. The sheets may .be made of cement asbestos. The wooden members may be used as plugs for internal and external fixtures on the finished wall. Reinforcing rods are wired to the members 12.
