[Class 72] In apparatus for removing magnetic particles from liquid, a rotatable magnetic disc a having inset therein a plurality of permanent magnets b is partially submerged in a restricted channel g<SP>1</SP> forming part of a liquid container g and is rotated by gearing c from a driven shaft d. Ferrous particles adhering to the magnets bare removed by two downwardly inclined non- magnetic scrapers or wipers h, one on each side of the disc, the material removed being directed into a container j. The scrapers may be of angle or channel section to form a trough. The apparatus constitutes a self-contained assembly unit for use in connection with metal cutting and grinding mechanism.
