Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove magnetic substance from a fluid containing magnetic substance by means of a combination of a matrix which consists of a metallic supporting member with ferromagnetic metal powder adhered and fixed thereon by weld- jetting means or the like and a container for retention in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:As a metallic supporting member 1, a magnetic material such as a steel plate of silicon is employed. On one surface or both surfaces of the metallic supporting member 1 is melted, adhered and fixed an amorphous or chilled and freezed powder 2 by means of adhesives or weld-jetting. As a method for providing a new magnetic material as the matrix in a non-magnetic container, for example as shown in the drawing, a plate-like new magnetic material 1' is provided in a non- magnetic container 6 in contact therewith so as to be in parallel with the flow of a slurry containing magnetic substance.
