Abstract
598,079. Supporting electric cables. COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS, Ltd., and ROSCOE, R. V. June 29, 1945, No. 16623. [Class 36] The outer sheath 5 of an insulated conductor is insulating and flexible and has an integral fin 6 which tends to partly encircle the sheath exterior. The fin, which may be discontinuous, receives the securing means which are obscured by the sheath. When the sheath is formed by extrusion, the fin is formed at the same time. When the sheath is formed of thermoplastic material, the fin or fins may be formed separately also of thermoplastic material and be welded to the sheath.
